JULIA

Gulf Air flight attendant

"People in my profession often celebrate the New Year in different countries.

Our airline is based in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and at first, it was unfamiliar to see palm trees dressed up for New Year's Eve instead of Christmas trees. It's an interesting holiday preparation in the Philippines in Manila, which starts at the beginning of August. I love travelling to London because it's always full of Christmas atmosphere and it's like being in a fairy tale. And, of course, it's always nice to get a flight to Moscow, you feel at home again, you dive into the pre-New Year rush and atmosphere.

Our flights on New Year's Eve are practically no different from normal flights, because we prepare the same way as for a regular flight. The most important thing for us on board is safety, comfort and quality of service.

The only difference is the mood of our passengers. We of course wish them a Happy New Year. This is usually done by our pilots over the speakerphone, according to the time zone in which we are located.

Happy New Year and Merry Christmas to everyone!
